We acknowledge that some customers may find it challenging to upgrade to an All-IP solution before the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is discontinued. This might be due to specialized use cases or non-telephony devices that depend on analogue network features—such as CCTV systems, alarm lines, elevator phones, emergency lines, telecare devices, payment terminals, access control systems, and telemetry equipment.
As a temporary measure, the Pre-Digital Phone Line (PDPL) provides a solution that allows you to retain your legacy handsets and equipment while phasing out the PSTN. However, we strongly encourage transitioning to All-IP solutions whenever possible.
